Charlotte Mizuki, owner of LifeSparks Studio and TEMPOfiit is helping people find their “passion, dreams and self” by promoting a healthier lifestyle.
What’s your story?
My name is Charlotte Mizuki, owner of LifeSparks Studio, creator of TEMPOfiit which is a twist of fun interactive intermittent training that targets the arms, thighs and abs.
My story goes like this, I was an achiever and excelled in my career. I took charge of everything that had to do with my career and it took over my life, including my weight. Working long, late hours meant irregular meal times and the next thing I knew, I weighed 70kg. I got depressed and didn’t have any self-esteem. But, I soon realised I needed to find the drive to do something about my health and lifestyle. So, I lost 20kg and in 2012, I went on to set up my own fitness studio – LifeSparks Studio. I found the passion to help women who feel like they’re walking the weight loss journey alone and motivate them to believe that it is possible.
I became passionate about fitness and trained to be a professional fitness and lifestyle coach providing one on one consultation. As a life coach, I try my best to make my fitness studio a place for my clients to find their passion, dreams and self!
What excites you most about your industry?
People!!! I love meeting people from all walks of life who need to be inspired. They in turn, inspire me to walk this journey with them.
What’s your connection to Asia?
I was born in Singapore and I have travelled throughout Asia.
Favourite city in Asia for business and why?
Vietnam. This is one developing country that I am currently looking at to expand my business due to the lower cost of labour/rental/capital required and the many business opportunities to tap into.
What’s the best piece of advice you ever received?
Never give up what you started. Dream the impossible and make it I’M Possible.
Who inspires you?
My mother. She is one tough woman who worked her whole life for the family. She taught me to be passionate about the things we do and share with people because that’s how we can go far and long in business or people to people relationships.
What have you just learnt recently that blew you away?
Learnt more about growing passive income.
If you had your time again, what would you do differently?
As much as I am thankful for where I am today, I wouldn’t have buried myself in the business right from the start. I would have learnt the ropes and the basics first, before diving right in. I would have learnt to be more efficient earlier and effective in spreading my passion. Then again, everything that happened lead me here and I am still very grateful.
How do you unwind?
Movie with friends or simply sitting at a nice cozy cafe to unwind the mind.
Favourite Asian destination for relaxation? Why?
Taiwan. It has beautiful nature – mountains for trekking or just allowing the appreciation of flowers and farms and at the same time great shopping and it’s a food haven.
