Assertive and Impactful Communication Embody Motion, Emotion and Color

What’s your story?
I am a passionate and colorful entrepreneur, public speaker and trainer that believes in the importance of impactful communication. With a background of 20 years as a professional Ballet Dancer, 10 years as an events producer and MC-Host, I now help those who believe in the power of storytelling and want to polish their communication skills with a twist of pizzazz and enjoyment.

I speak multiple languages, love travelling the world to connect with different points of view, and love pushing myself to find the blissful moments that are on the other side of fear.

What excites you most about your industry?
In communications everything is possible. Connecting with people to learn and further develop myself is very exciting. The fact that there are many different channels and ways of resonating with others, whether it is with written communication, the use of speech in message delivery, or the delights of body language and movement. I love the diversity of colors and sounds that this industry brings.

What’s your connection to Asia?
Since I was a small girl, I was always curious about Asian Culture. When I went to University I studied International Relations and this opened my eyes even more to all the wonders of the East. I decided to have an exchange semester at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and ever since I marvel at the opportunities that this region brings.

I then decided to grow roots in HK and become an entrepreneur.

Favourite city in Asia for business and why?
Hong Kong. The government is very supportive of the startup ecosystem and has developed different channels to assist with the set up, development and growth of one’s businesses.

On the other hand, Hong Kong is a very noble market, where networking is fairly easy and people are very open and willing to help, connect and find creative solutions.

What’s the best piece of advice you ever received?
Personal Connections can take you a long way.

Who inspires you?
Strong, confident and well rounded women that fight for their goals with empathy and emotion.

Ladies like Luvvie Ajayi and my Grandma Margarita who worked on the development of the first contraceptive pill back in the 50’s. First and foremost my MUM, who gave me the biggest wings possible so I could fly as high as I can without the fear of ever falling.

What have you just learnt recently that blew you away?
Mexican researchers go to China to develop a potential drug against the COVID-19 with the use of Nanotechnology.

If you had your time again, what would you do differently?
Fortunately I have been very content with my journey thus far. I have appreciated and loved every good and bad moment that I have encountered.

How do you unwind?
I like dancing and sharing a meal with my loved ones. On the weekends I also go outdoors and practice different activities such as Hiking, Canyoning, and Coasteering.

Favourite Asian destination for relaxation? Why?
Japan. Everything is very well organised, the food is amazing, the streets are clean, there are many sightseeing spots and people are polite and friendly.

Everyone in business should read this book:
“Humor that Works: The missing skill for success and happiness at work,” by Andrew Tarvin.
